gallant efforts

I'm hunting long words these days, and sometimes come up with some fun pseudo-words in the process. Here are a few recent examples of the words someone else found, along with my best attempts. (Sadly, I didn't find any of the actual words in this list.)

word: HYPERCOMPETITIVE (30 pts); best try: PHOTOCRYOMETISITIVE
word: BIOCLIMATOLOGIES (30); best try: GEOBINOSOLOGIC
word: VERITABLENESSES (28); best try: BLEATIERNESSES
word: CENTRIFUGALIZE (29); best try: ELECTFIGURABILIZE
word: PHOTOREACTIVATING (32); best try: PHOTOREACTIONIVE
word: PHOTODISINTEGRATING (36); best try: PHOTODISINTERVATING
word: MULTIFARIOUSNESSES (34); best try: MALIFARIOUSNESSES
word: DEINDUSTRIALIZED (33); best try: SUDDENTRAVELIZED

How about you?

Being hypercompetitive, I tried a photocryometisive process to capture some bioclimatolog(ical) genobinosologic 100% unique substance, but the vertitablenesses and the bleatiernesses of the centrifugalize(d) result was not electfigurablize(able) and kept photoreactivating because it was photoreactionive, and therefore photodisintergrating as it was photodisintervating. The multifariousnesses that ensued negated the malifariousnesses and upon deciding it was time to become deindustrialized there was a loud bang and I was suddentravelized.

Surely, if you can use a best try in a sentence, that makes it a word?

ROFL!! You have me choking with laughter, flops!

Maybe we should become professional essay writers, using best tries only? That would make it 100% unique substance!

flops: that was great and so funny! :D

mcdonna: some very creative use of the alphabet there! :) Too bad none worked out for you. Sorry to say I can't recall any gallant tries, although I've made some. There was 1 time when I played something I thought was ludicrous and it was a valid word: HODOGRAPH:
a curve, the radius vector of which represents in magnitude and direction the velocity of a moving object

I can hardly wait for a board containing HODOGRAPHICALLY or HODOGRAPHICIZATION. :D

Actually, what I most want is to figure out how to SUDDENTRAVELIZE.

When I googled TELEPORTATION to make sure it was the right word to use, I saw that you are not alone in trying to figure it out. It would be pretty cool but I urge you to use extra caution. I've always waited to buy new technology so the price can go down and the bugs get worked out. You definitely wouldn't want a teleporter with glitches. Most of the time on Star Trek it worked well but there were rare instances of tragic failures. Then there was that unfortunate incident in Spaceballs where Dark Helmet found himself looking down at his own backside. (It was at that point the allure of teleportation diminished for me. A sobering moment.) I think SG-1 Stargate was wise to send a video equipped robot to the far end before committing themselves to the journey. It would also be handy to know exactly where you're going since the destination could be a war zone or it could have some nasty secrets like happened in The Time Machine.

I know you're a grown woman and can make your own decisions but I wouldn't want you to get hurt or distressed when the Star Trek teletransport sound effect plays. ;)

So I googled suddentravelize, and the only result that came up was an ad for trivago, I was suprised because I would have imagined that suddentravelizing would be quite handy in many scenarios: awkward dating moments, for either party, cooking disasters, the olympics, and some parenting situations. Come to think of it trivago could be used to alleviate some of those scenarios too..

but...

All I can say is "Beam me up, Scotty!" :D

Hahaa, I thought you'd say that. :)
