"Zen" has never worked for me when I've tried it in any online word games... but I'm sure that's because it's a proper, capitalized name: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Zen?s=t

Puttin' out an APB on the word "simulacra". Just tried to play and it didn't take, but it was in the last few seconds so it's quite possible I entered it wrong. Definitely was available in the board tho'.

Well it's definitely a word... so it should be accepted. Could be that as with WEBoggle, the dictionary for this game needs some updating. When you're boggling on WEBoggle, you can enter and report/suggest words that the game doesn't take, for dictionary submission. Not sure about here though... never seen any way to do that?

Default unscared

Unscared was rejected. Surely that is a word.... As in 'He was totally unscared by the horror film.'

Depending on how prevalent a word becomes in daily use, you might find that it goes from being "not a word" to being an "acceptable word".

I don't know how often Sowpods updates the dictionary that is used by this and many other games.

An example of a non-word that became a word: axel

Axel is an example of technical vocabulary crossing over into general usage. It's the name of a type of spin in skating. Lots of new words have come over from computing though dictionaries are often behind current usage; blog and podcast are examples. Farther back, there was a time when byte would not have been found in dictionaries.

There are also neologisms outside tech. Selfie and twerk are a couple of examples. Twerk does not yet appear to be in this site's dictionary and I don't know if selfie is.
